de la Bahia is located on Kanner Hwy just west of Monterey Road in Stuart in Martin County, Florida. This waterfront 55+ boating community lies on the shore of the south fork of the Saint Lucie River which also becomes the Okeechobee Waterway as it goes west. This prime location is approximately 40 minutes north of West Palm Beach and 100 miles north of Miami. de la Bahia is conveniently located near many restaurants, stores and medical facilities.

The de la Bahia condominium complex is made up of 303 residences, 231 docks, a pool, a clubhouse, shuffleboard courts, and a yacht club for the residents. This active adult community offers residents a low-maintenance lifestyle along with access to convenient amenities and a variety of clubs and events. Residents are also close to any needs they have, as well as interesting activities, including boating and fishing on the nearby St. Lucie River.


Residents enjoy the clubhouse with a full dining room/kitchen/bar, billiard room, game room and library. Outdoors there is a heated pool, shuffleboard courts and a marina. Homeowners at de La Bahia can take part in the variety of clubs and activities offered by the community, including bingo, bridge, dinner dances, euchre, fitness classes, knitting and stitching, shuffleboard, as well as a golf and bowling league. Residents are also able to join the community yacht club.

Real Estate

de La Bahia was developed from 1972 to 1973 and consists of 303 condo homes. The units include one and two bedroom units with 1, 1 1/2 to 2 bathrooms depending on the unit. There are 26 buildings. A-Y are two story buildings with 12 units each and build Z is a one story building with 3 units. Each unit comes with one assigned parking space; second cars can be parked in "overflow" spots by buildings that are unmarked or in the "overflow" parking areas between Buildings C and D and across from Buildings T and U. There are also parking spaces specifically reserved for Guests. 


Residents enjoy a low-maintenance lifestyle thanks to a self-governed Condominum Association that takes care of common area maintenance, exterior maintenance, cable TV, landscaping, roof maintenance, water/sewer and trash removal.
